Each year the 8th grade band travels to Charlotte North Carolina to perform in the Carowinds Music Festival. We will travel in coach busses on a Friday, stopping along the way at “The Varsity” for lunch, and arrive at a Double Tree Hotel in Charlotte. We will then go out for dinner at a CiCi’s Pizza (included in price) and then head to Adventure Landing where the students will have an unlimited pass to do the go carts, bumper boats, and mini golf, as well as 30 tokens to the arcade (included in price). The next day we will eat breakfast at the hotel and then head to the theme park (included in price) to ride the rides, and perform at the Carowinds Music Festival. At the end of the night Saturday we will make the trip home arriving late Sunday morning.
This trip is an excellent way to reward our 8th grade students for 3 years of service to the band.
The trip cost is $210, every student will be allowed to go regardless of whether or not they are able to pay, as long as they participate in the fundraisers, and try their hardest to make all the payments necessary.
